We dined at Texas Roadhouse, and were pleasantly surprised to
find some real good wings. We ordered the "911" wings and waited to see
what would happen.
Although we thought they were over-priced at
$7.99 for ten pieces, we did achieve a good, solid 10 minute afterburn on the
heat. The wings had excellent flavor as well. They were accompanied
by celery and an excellent blue cheese dressing.
The waitress did offer a choice between breaded and naked
wings, and that's important to note, as we don't care for breaded wings -
they're not authentic buffalo style if they carry any breading.
Our only complaint other than price was that the wings were not
as crisp as we normally like, but all things considered, Texas Roadhouse did a
nice job with the wings.
The grilled chicken salad proved to be quite good as well.
A later visit to Texas Roadhouse proved to be disappointing,
with wings that were not up to par...I guess you have to choose your location
carefully or maybe you just have to take your chances...
