The Ross cat was an extraordinary wing eater. He was known
to show up in the kitchen anytime the smell of shortening is in the air.
He stayed in a frenzy until he got his wings, then growled the other cats off the
plate as he inhaled them. A good bath always followed the feeding frenzy, then
Rossi retired for the post-feeding nap.
Rossi was diagnosed with a lymphoma in 1996. He spent
nine months going through chemotherapy. One day, he spent the day with a
Doberman named killer. Before that day, Ross was scared of his
shadow. After that day, he feared nothing.
In 2000, Rossi discovered Friskies. After nine
years of ignoring dry food, he finally found out what he was missing. We
think that Tina told him just before she died to eat Friskies in her
memory.
In April of 2002, the Ross Cat's cancer came back to claim his
life. We miss Rossi and his wing eating antics.
