Martini was the first kitten born in Tina's litter.
Having to grow up with 3 brothers forced her to become independent at an early
age. Now she is the queen of the house, taking over those duties from
Tina.
Martini loves her wings, but had a hard time getting her share
thanks to her brother, Rossi.
Mart's life changed dramatically when Dante came to live with
us. She didn't like him the first time she laid eyes on him, and nothing
has changed in the last ten years.
Martini now holds the record for longetivity in our
house. She's been with us for 14 years. Her birthday is Easter.

Early in 2003, Martini was diagnosed with diabetes. She now gets two
insulin shots a day, and is confined to eating twice daily. She's doing
well now that we have her insulin regulated at 3 units per shot. She
doesn't like getting the shots, but she also knows it's best for her.
After her annual exam at 14, Martini's insulin dose was
increased and she stopped eating. After taking her off insulin, she
returned to eating but continued to get smaller. After a long, great life
- she had to be put down on June 27, 2005. We will miss her greatly.
